The University of Georgia Bulldogs have left the US stunned after an utter annihilation of the TCU Horned Frogs in the College Football National Championship game.
Georgia entered the game the defending champions but the last time a team had gone back-to-back was Alabama in 2011 and 2012.

The US was well behind the upset as well as TCU beat Michigan to make the decider and ending an 84-year drought in the match.
At the start of the season, the Horned Frogs were +20000 to win the national title (200/1 for Aussie punters).
But although Georgia were the favourites for the title, America was not expecting how dominant the Bulldogs would be — winning 65-7.
It was such a bloodbath the Bulldogs led 38-7 at halftime and the commentators were just looking for something to say about the utter domination.
It was midway through the third quarter when Georgia Football’s social media team began to troll TCU.
Georgia QB Stetson Bennett became a rare dual national champion QB and was the first former walk on to achieve the feat since 1936.
The 58-point win was also the biggest blowout in College Football Playoff and Bowl Championship Series history by a long way — the previous record was 36-points.
Bennett said the team were: “Champions of the whole damn world, man.
“I don’t know. Just trying to see everybody for the last time, hug everybody. Trying not to cry,” he added.
For TCU, coach Sonny Dykes apologised to his university.
“I know tickets were expensive. I know flights were expensive. Our fans have answered the call every time we asked. … We feel like we let them down with our performance tonight,” he said.
Midway through the fourth quarter, fans were leaving SoFi Stadium in LA in tears.
Former MLB star Dave Stewart tweeted: “If I played for TCU, I swear I wouldn’t be telling anybody I played tonight! I swear, not a sole (sic.).”
440 Sports’ Braden Gall wrote: “Not sure anyone should change any opinions about TCU, Sonny Dykes or Max Duggan. Still one of the greatest college football stories of the modern era. Not being as good as Georgia is no crime.”
The Athletic’s college sports editor Stewart Mandel tweeted: “Georgia chose violence tonight. Lord have mercy.”
