South Australia: Man in hospital with shooting injury, another man arrested


One man is in hospital, and another will face court over a shooting on Tuesday night.

Just before 7.30pm, SA Police and emergency services were called to an address on Brandwood St, Royal Park after receiving reports of a shooting.

The victim, a 47-year-old man from Royal Park, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Just before midnight on Tuesday evening, Western District officers, along with STAR Group officers, attended an address in Croydon Park and arrested a 44-year-old man without incident.

He was charged with attempted murder, failing to answer questions under the Firearms Act, and carrying an offensive weapon.

He was refused police bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police do not believe the incident is random.
