In February and March 2022, we published several stories in which the relief principal of Lithgow High School was credited by a spokesperson for the Department of Education with making offensive remarks.
The Department spokesperson incorrectly attributed the remarks to the relieving principal. The Department subsequently issued a correction to that effect, which was also reported on by this publication.
We apologise to the relieving principal for the hurt and embarrassment caused by publication of the Department’s error.
