Three warehouses, reportedly containing dozens of classic collectors cars, have gone up in flames in a massive factory fire during the morning commute.
Inglewood Rural Fire Brigade attended to a factory premises off Mona Vale Road in Ingleside, near Powderworks Road, just after 9am on Friday, after the fire broke out.
The premises was reportedly home to dozens of vintage, veteran and collectors cars, which have all been burnt in the blaze.
Dramatic scenes show large clouds of thick smoke billowing from the building as authorities tackle the blaze.
Ingleside Rural Fire Brigade has asked people to avoid the area.
At 10.12am local time, NSW Rural Fire Service confirmed the fire was “being controlled.”
Public transportation is being diverted away from the area, with route 197 buses using Powderworks and Pittwater Roads instead of Mona Vale Road.
Fire and Rescue NSW told NCA NewsWire while the incident was in the hands of the Rural service, they had been providing assistance battling the blaze.
They also reported 3 warehouses were “well alight” in the structure fire.
Passers by took to social media to share photos of the smoke clouds rising from the fire.
“Traffic is horrendous,” one man said.
