Joe Westerman sex in an alley video ends up with rugby player axed by Castleford Tigers

Joe Westerman was axed from Castleford Tigers’ rugby squad after being filmed in a shocking Greggs alley romp.

The 33-year-old rugby star was not included in the Castleford side that was defeated by St Helens.

Westerman hit the headlines after an X-rated video of him performing a sex act on a woman went viral on social media.

The rugby player, who had been on an epic 15-hour booze bender, was captured with his trousers and pants wrapped around his ankles, The Sun reports.

Westerman featured for the Tigers last week after they hit him with a substantial fine as a result of an internal investigation.

But the loose forward did not make the cut against champions St Helens.

It comes after he was mercilessly taunted by fans as he made his return to the field for the first time after being kicked out of home by his wife.

Tigers coach Lee Radford insisted Westerman was not selected for performance reasons.

Asked about his absence, Radford told Yorkshire Live: “The pre-season itself had been a good one but obviously there was that going on in the background and as a coach you’re not in the sheds when players are talking about that, you’re not in their living rooms when you get back home.

“So you can’t gauge all that but I don’t want it to be an excuse for last week’s performance. I’ve had a knot in my stomach all week because of what went on, but the response this week was far better.”

It remains to be seen whether Westerman was just dropped for one game with their next clash against Wigan Warriors this weekend.

In another sordid clip of the scandal, the rugby star is again seen with his trousers and pants wrapped around his ankles.

While his married lover, who has since lost her job, is seen resting up against a wall.

Joe’s own wife Lauren Westerman said there were ‘no excuses’ over the video and that her husband had been caught with the blonde estate agent following a day-long drinking session.

33-year-old Lauren told The Sun: “Truth is, he only told me because it was on social media.

“But I’m glad it was found because the thought of kissing him after that just makes me feel sick.”

The disgusted mum-of-three previously said: “I’ve relived that footage over and over again.

“It’s something I’ll never be able to get out of my mind, no matter how hard I try.”

Westerman later made a grovelling public apology to his family and friends after the graphic video went viral.

Cops have so far refused to launch a probe despite the couple being caught in a well lit alleyway in full view of a nearby high street.

But they may now be forced to re-examine their decision given the location and the number of people who saw them.
