NSW: 30-year-old man arrested for drugs after another man shot


CCTV footage has been released as police appeal for help as part of their investigation into a shooting.

Police were called to a Sydney hospital on February 16 after a 26-year-old man arrived at a with gunshot wounds.

The 26-year-old underwent treatment and has since been discharged.

Initial investigation suggested the man had sustained the gunshot wound sometime between 10-11am that morning at a location in Cherrybrook.

Just before 8am on Thursday March 2, detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Cherrybrook, where the seized firearms, ammunition, various amounts of cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, cannabis, LSD, GBL, methylamphetamine, and prescription medications. Officers also seized more than $15,000 cash.

Police arrested a 30-year-old man at the home and he was taken to the Ryde Police Station charged with possessing unauthorised prohibited firearm and three counts of possessing a prohibited drug.

He was refused police bail to appear in the Burwood Local Court, where he was granted condition bail.

He will appear in court again on March 16.

The investigation is ongoing, but police have released the CCTV footage of three vehicles believing their occupants could aid their inquiries.

The first, a white van, was seen driving along Boundary Road towards New Line Road just after 11am on February 16.

A second white van and a white sedan were seen driving the same route immediately after.
