Two of Australia’s best jockeys Jamie Kah and Craig Williams have been hospitalised after a horror accident at Flemington on Saturday.
Jamie Kah was knocked unconscious and was considered to be in a “serious” condition after being rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The Victorian Jockey’s Association announced late on Saturday night Kah remained sedated.
She had earlier been cleared of any fractures or brain injuries but was heavily concussed after she was left going in and out of consciousness following the horrific fall.

The star jockey was “speared” into the turf after her horse Flyball clipped the heels of the eventual winner Veight in the Group 2 Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m).
Williams also suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a broken finger and a concussion of his own after his horse Dubenenko tripped over Kah’s fallen horse.

The horses were galloped on after the incident and reportedly suffered just minor abrasions.
Vets will also check the horses again in the morning.
Victorian Jockeys’ Association boss Matt Hyland said Kah’s fall was “pretty severe”.
“Both riders have suffered a head knock, particularly Jamie,” Hyland said.
“She was unconscious for a period of time but thankfully is conscious now.
“It appears as though everything else seems OK.”
There was a long 40-minute delay after the fall as paramedics worked on the fallen jockeys while Kah’s partner and fellow jockey Ben Melham rode the next winner before he went to join her in hospital.
“I’m going to put the cue in the rack for the day and just make sure she is all right,” Melham said.
“It’s just a reminder of how dangerous the job can be, the last week or so, but right now winners are not important as long as everyone is OK.”
Kah was set to ride In Secret in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap, but her spot was taken by Dean Holland who rode the star horse to victory.
It comes just a week after jockeys Ethan Bronn and Mark Zahra also fell at Flemington.
Brown is still in hospital after suffering internal injuries when his horse Maximillius rolled on top of him.
Zahra escaped injury and both horses survived the incident.
