MAFS 2023: Fans want wife Alyssa gone

Controversial MAFS wife Alyssa should be sent back to the US following her icy display towards husband Duncan, fans say.

During Monday night’s show, the couples conducted a partner swapping experiment. It was meant to give them valuable insights into their relationships and leave them walking away stronger.

For Duncan, who was paired with Evelyn, there was a real sense of excitement about seeing Alyssa again after spending three days apart. However, the same couldn’t be said for Alyssa, whose insecurities had festered.

Upon being reunited, a thrilled Duncan handed her a photo of him posing with a KitchenAid, but she seemed less than impressed, and her attitude became very combative when they got into their relationship issues.

“I know you try to understand that dynamic but you’ll never fully understand,” she said of her child.

“It’s not a concern, your child will be first priority like that’s just a no-brainer I don’t even know why that question would ever be asked,” he tried to assure her.

“Maybe I’ll never understand exactly the same way as you’ve been I guess it’s more around everyone wants a partner that would say to them ‘I’m going to try to help you understand this a much as possible’.”

She responded with: “I don’t know if I can agree to that, having a child to somebody, you won’t understand that until you do it yourself. Full stop.”

Duncan then told the camera: “I feel like I am trying to be positive … it does feel like Alyssa puts her walls up really quick because there’s too much emotion in the conversation.”

He then tried to raise the topic of having more reasonable conversations with her moving forward.

“I want a dynamic where we can have tough conversations without them become extremely emotionally charged.”

“Duncan, I’m a very emotional person,” she said.

“I don’t want to either talk to you for two days or I don’t want to be here, is there a way to take a break, take yourself out of the situation and then put a timer on it and say ‘hey in 20 minutes I’m going to at least attempt to have a chat because I know my partner wants to’.”

“I need time and I need space, how do you want me to communicate that?” she pushed back.

“I want to meet in the middle,” he replied.

She wasn’t going to make this easy: “What if that is the middle? Usually it’s a week. It’s going to change all the time”.

“What should I do all that time .. sit and wait?” he was perplexed.

“Yes,” she said, simply.

Later, he said to the camera while sobbing: “I feel more rejected in this relationship than any relationship I’ve ever been in. I can’t believe I’m crying.”

Fans called for Alyssa to get off the show and even out of the country, with one even plotting her several routes back to the US in case she needed it.
