Russian internet personality Hasbulla Magomedov is under fire after a video surfaced online showing him allegedly abusing his cat Barsik
The 20-year-old influencer has hugely popular online thanks to his connection to the UFC and he is regularly seen with big names including Dana White.
He also often shows his cat off in videos on platforms including YouTube.
However, a recent video is making waves with a short clip seeming to show Hasbulla tugging roughly at his cat’s ear. He also gives the cat’s head a smack.
The cat made a run for it and appeared to be unhappy with the treatment.
“Why is [Hasbulla] doing this to his cat?” one person posted alongside a video that has been viewed more than two million times on Twitter.
The video appears to be a screen recording of Hasbulla’s YouTube — however the clip in question has been removed from the channel, Dexerto reports.
One person wrote on Twitter, “This is offensive and needs taking down. Anyone defending it has different values to a real person. RSPCA needs a look. Weird.”
“He deserves a spartan kick for that! Poor cat looks terrified,” a person wrote in the comments.
Another person remarked, “Hasbulla has clearly never seen Don’t F*** With Cats!”
And another critic wrote, “This made me so f**king sad. I need to rescue this cat.”
Others defended the social media personality writing, “It’s not that serious.”
Hasbulla has not made any public comments about the video.
Hasbulla – from the Dagestan region of Russia – has dwarfism and shot to fame with his lavish lifestyle full of private jets and fast cars following the signing as a UFC ambassador.
His treatment of Barsik comes despite him known to be an animal lover and being pictured with pets throughout his time as an influencer.
Hasbulla is known as “Mini Khabib” as he is friends with and hails from the same region as UFC icon Khabib Nurmagomedov.
He went viral on TikTok in 2021 and has been a cherished social media since.
Several of his photos show him travelling the world while wearing designer clothes and jewellery.
He is also no stranger to luxury cars and private jets as several of his social media photos feature the vehicles, including one where the star poses next to an orange Lamborghini.
People are also obsessed with him because of his childlike appearance.
This stems from a genetic disorder that gives him stunted growth and a high pitched voice.
According to an interview that Hasbulla did with SportsKeeda, he is three feet four inches (102cm) tall.
