Kyle Sandilands marries Tegan Kynaston in glamorous Sydney ceremony

Kyle Sandilands is officially a married man. The popular radio personality has married fiancée Tegan Kynaston in a glamorous ceremony worth a reported $1 million.

Guy Sebastian sung Ray Charles’ Hallelujah I Love Her So as the newlyweds had their first dance at their lavish wedding reception in Sydney on Saturday night.

The couple exchanged vows at The Swifts mansion in Sydney – a $60 million, heritage-listed property in the affluent suburb of Darling Point.

The 56-bedroom mansion, often referred to as Sydney Castle, was decorated with endless amounts of white flowers to the tune of $150,000 alone – and a large marquee with crystal chandeliers were also erected on site.

It’s unknown how much the couple paid for the venue, but, according to the Daily Telegraph, renting the property for one night costs at least $20,000.

As the night went on, the celebrations continued.

At one point the couple were both lifted above the crowded dance floor on chairs.

As you can imagine, the guest list was a who’s who of the Sydney social scene.

Of course, Sandilands’ The Kyle & Jackie O co-host Jackie “O” Henderson was in attendance as was his famous friends Guy Sebastian, Conrad Sewell, Samantha Ryan, Beau Ryan, Karl Stefanovic and Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim, who was a groomsman.

Even Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premiere Chris Minns were at the ceremony.

“One of the things about Kyle Sandilands, I’ll say this, a bloke who at one stage was homeless, living on the streets of Sydney, and has grown into someone who is a significant public figure, is a part of what is an Australian success story,” Albanese said when asked about his invitation during a National Cabinet press conference yesterday.

Followers and listeners of Sandilands will know that the wedding was always going to be a glamorous extravaganza, with the shock jock himself saying there was “no budget”.

Earlier this week, in a radio game called ‘Higher or Lower’, where listeners called in to guess how much each element of the wedding cost, Sandilands let slip exact prices of his nuptials.

He revealed the entertainment cost $100,000, the food – which included an oyster bar and caviar bar – cost $75,000, and the wedding cake cost around $9000.

Sandilands and Kynaston were friends for five years before their relationship became romantic in 2019 after his split from model Imogen Anthony – his girlfriend of eight years.

Kynaston previously worked as the radio host’s office manager before becoming the communications director at his entertainment company, King Kyle Group.

They were engaged in January 2022 and in August the pair welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Otto.

Last month, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Sandilands admitted he “can’t put a finger on the exact day they fell in love” as their friendship effortlessly evolved into romance.

“She was single and I was single for the first time [in a while]. And I think we never really thought of each other in that way, we just appreciated each other and were genuinely friends. And it just blossomed from there,” he said.

This is Sandilands second marriage. He was married to singer Tamara Jaber, who rose to fame on the talent show Pop Stars in 2001 when she was placed in the group Scandal’us.

Sandilands was a judge on the program at the time and the pair began dating after filming.

In 2008, after seven years together, they married at St Brigids Church in Marrickville, Sydney. Their wedding reception was held at the Doltone House in Pyrmont, and like his second wedding, no expense was spared with the event costing seven figures.

“Oh, it cost a million dollars,” he said on The Kyle & Jackie O Show back in 2021. “Doltone House, like, it’s just a big hall. I had to change the floor plan so you’d walk downstairs. There were, like, stages built and the [Australian] Idol live crew filmed the wedding video.”

Sandilands and Jaber were divorced two years later in 2010.
