Kyle Sandilands’ ex-girlfriend Imogen Anthony has posted a series of photos implying she is on a honeymoon.
The posts are timed to the same weekend as the radio personality is wedded to Tegan Kynaston, the mother of her son with Sandilands, Otto.
Anthony, a media personality and one-time reality TV contestant, had dated for eight years before they split in 2019. Sandilands began his relationship with Kynaston, a long-time colleague, in the months after.
On Saturday, Anthony shared a carousel of photos on Instagram taken on holidays in Phuket, Thailand, which she captioned, “Our time away so far”. But in the collection of happy snaps was one photo which has intrigued observers.
The fourth photo is taken inside a hotel room of a large bed with two swan-shaped towels entwined above rose petals that spell out “H. MOON”.
Fans were quick to notice the pointed message and asked, “Honeymoon, did we miss something?”
Another person wrote, “I know you’re with someone else and it’s been a while but I also know it must be very hard knowing someone else is getting the fairytale we thought you’d be getting. I hope you’re OK and your holiday is a good distraction.”
Anthony sparked questions late last year when she posted a series of photos that appeared to confirm she had married her mysterious new boyfriend. The pictures were taken in Las Vegas, inside the Little Chapel of Hearts. She wore white lingerie and held a bouquet of flowers.
However, days later, a friend of Anthony’s claimed she hadn’t married and the posts were merely a joke.
In 2021, Sandilands spoke about the reasons his relationship with Anthony ended, chalking it partly up to the 19-year age difference between them.
He told a Mamamia podcast that Anthony “went from a young girl into a woman” towards the end of the relationship. He said, “It’s not as if we couldn’t get on. It’s just I was going into my twilight years, and she was just becoming a woman.
“It was just one of those things that it was fun while it lasted and it was great, we enjoyed a lot of things about each other, but some of these things come to an end sometimes.”
Sandilands yesterday married Kynaston in an opulent event that is said to have cost close to a million dollars, including $150,000 spent on flowers and another $9000 for a five-tiered cake.
The wedding was held at Sydney’s Swifts mansion, a multimillion-dollar heritage property in Darling Point. The 120-person guest list included his radio co-host Jackie “Jackie O” Henderson, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns.
Sandilands’ groomsmen included Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim and convicted drug smuggler Simon Main.
There were performances from Guy Sebastian, Samantha Jade and Conrad Sewell.
Sandilands, 51, and Kynaston, 36, met at work. She was previously his assistant and then became the communications director to his personal business.
The couple were engaged in January 2022. She gave birth to their son, Otto, in August that year.
