Lamborghini driver flees scene of crash in Sydney’s Concord

One unknown Sydneysider likely had a much worse time than you on Friday night, with the driver of a luxury vehicle destroying their car in an epic crash and then fleeing the scene.

Overnight, a matte black Lamborghini crashed into three vehicles and somehow ended up on top of one, in Sydney’s inner western suburb of Concord.

Thankfully, the other vehicles were in a car yard, and it’s understood nobody was hurt.

The accident happened just after 9.40pm along Paramatta Road, with local Burwood officers attending the scene.

By the time the police and fire department arrived, the driver had disappeared.

Police confirmed to news.com.au that “inquiries are underway”.

“The driver of the sports car had left the scene prior to police arrival and inquiries are continuing,” a spokesperson said.

“There’s been no reports of injuries at this time.”

Based on the photos, the make appears to be a Lamborghini Aventador, which currently retails at between $789,809 to $825,914 for the 2023 range brand new, according to Cars Guide.

Earlier models sold between 2011 and 2018 sold for between $223,000 and $653,000.

The Aventador has a maximum speed of 335 kilometres per hour.

The local fire department also attended the accident and said it appeared the Lamborghini driver had “lost control”.

“The dealership vehicle that ended up on its side was an LPG vehicle, so it needed to be handled very carefully to prevent causing any damage to the gas cylinders,” the Concord Fire Service posted on Facebook.

“With the great help of our colleagues from Burwood Fire and Rescue NSW 015 Station the cars were stabilised and towed away without causing any further damage.”

Social media users added their own wry comments to the situation.

“You can‘t park there mate,” quipped one.

“What happened Mr Drifter,” said another.

“Boys with their toys … should stick to playing the PlayStation,” joked a third.
