Three prisoners escape from Palen Creek Correctional Centre: Police issue warning


A desperate warning has been issued after three prisoners escape from jail.

The three men – Daniel Ian Badcock, Osiah Pilton and Antonio David Mene – escaped from Palen Creek Correctional Centre, about 100km south west of Brisbane near the NSW border, on Sunday.

Authorities have released photos of all three men, however they warned the public to not approach the prisoners and contact police immediately if sighted.

It’s understood the prisoners escaped together.

Badock is described as being 175cm tall, with brown hair, blue eyes with a medium build of about 65kgs.

He also has a number of tattoos, including a diamond on the left side of his face and the word “Oerta” above his right eye.

He also has a number of tattoos on his arms and left leg, including a knuckle duster across his right hand and dollar sign on his left hand.

He is serving a one-year term for the selling, possession and/or use prohibited weapons/explosives.

Pilton – who is serving a one year and nine month sentence for entering a dwelling with intent, without violence or threats is also of medium build and 176cm tall and about 65kgs. He has a fair complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.

The man also has a ‘mum’ tattoo above his left wrist, and a blue diamond on his left leg.

The third man, Mene, is serving three years for the illegal use of a motor vehicle. Police say he has a light build and is 170cms and about 73kgs.

He also has a pierced left ear and a number of tattoos, including a full calf tattoo on his right leg, a name on his inner forearm, and other designs on his left hand.
