An ABC News Breakfast has made the shock announcement that he will be taking a break from the show.
Michael Rowland made the announcement in a tweet on Wednesday saying he would be “taking a break” effective immediately.
“Program note: I‘ll be taking a break after today’s show,” he tweeted after wrapping the live program just before 9am.
“Take care and see you soon.”
He also announced he will be replaced by presenter and regular fill-in Madeleine Morris.
