Woman thrown onto Roe Highway: Sex Assault detectives investigate incident in Perth

A woman has survived a horrifying incident in which she was thrown into the path of a truck on a busy Western Australian highway.

Police have released a photograph of a silver Holden Commodore that allegedly pulled over in the northbound emergency lane of Roe Hwy, just past the on-ramp from Willeri Drive in Parkwood, at 8.30pm on Saturday, February 25.

A male occupant of the car allegedly forced a female passenger from the car before throwing her into the path of an oncoming truck on the 100kmh road.

The quick-thinking truck driver managed to swerve to avoid hitting the woman while also avoiding a collision with a second vehicle travelling in the right lane of the two lane highway.

The male then allegedly forced the woman back into the Holden Commodore and drove away.

Police believe the pair are known to each other.

Sexual assault detectives continued their investigation four months after the alleged incident unfolded and are hoping the new photos help bring new witnesses forward.

Police wish to speak to the truck driver who avoided hitting the woman and are asking him and the driver of the other vehicle to come forward.

Anyone with information, or who saw, or has dashcam vision relating to this incident are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au
