Kate’s heartwarming exchange with young fan at Wimbledon

A video of the Princess of Wales delighting a young fan during her visit to Wimbledon last Tuesday has attracted serious attention on social media.

The 41-year-old royal was warmly greeted by a young fan in a touching interaction captured and posted on Instagram,

In the video, posted with the caption “The most beautiful princess,” Kate is seen walking past the little boy who eagerly calls out, “Hi Princess!”

Upon hearing his voice, the princess immediately stops, waves, and walks over to him.

Kneeling down to meet him at eye height, Kate asked “What‘s your name?” before asking “have you had a fun day?”

In the heartwarming interaction, Kate also takes a keen interest in the young boy‘s toy, asking about it and exclaiming, “Very cool. I like that.”

Before bidding farewell, she beamed at him and said “Nice to meet you.”

The Princess was decked out in a smart Balmain blazer layered over a pleated midi dress, complemented by sky-high court shoes, a Mulberry bag, a Sezane bracelet, and Shyla earrings.

Kate also received a standing ovation from fans upon taking her seat in the Royal Box on Centre Court.

During the event, she warmly welcomed her close friend, tennis legend Roger Federer, to a special ceremony at Wimbledon.

The audience, which included Prince Michael of Kent, Lady Gabriella, David Cameron, and Samantha Cameron, applauded Federer as he was honoured for his remarkable sporting achievements following his retirement from the game the previous year.

Federer‘s wife Mirka watched the proceedings from the Royal Box.

In 2017, Kate disregarded royal protocol and planted three kisses on Federer’s cheeks to congratulate him on his eighth tournament victory.

The playful friendship between Kate and Roger extends beyond the court, as they have collaborated on various projects.

In late June, both appeared in a video showcasing the work of ball boys and girls, where the royal put the tennis star through his paces.
