Four teenagers, one as young as 14, have been arrested after a string of alleged armed robberies.
Just before 3.30am on Sunday, police allege a boy threatened an employee with a firearm and demanded cash at a service station in Holmview, Logan.
Police say he fled the scene in a blue Audi S3 that had been reported stolen from a property around 30km south on Saturday evening.
Police will further allege that at 3.35am, the boy, also armed with a gun, stole a cash register from a service station in nearby Kingston before leaving in the same vehicle.
At 6am, police allege the same group was involved in another armed robbery in an Ascot cafe before travelling towards the Gold Coast.
Polair patrols tracked the Audi across the Gold Coast, where it was spotted travelling along the Pacific Motorway before crashing into a Mazda 2 at about 9.50am.
Police say two people fled the vehicle on foot and allegedly injured a woman and a child before being taken into police custody.
An 18-year-old man from Woodridge was charged with armed robbery and is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
A 15-year-old boy from Crestmead has been charged with entering a dwelling, armed robbery and committing unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Children’s Court at a later date.
Two other teenage boys, a 15-year-old from Coomera and a 14-year-old from Eagleby, were also charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
