The victim of a horrific murder suicide has been described as a bright, bubbly and “fiercely loyal” mother, as friends and family rally to raise money for her orphaned son.
At 10.40am on Thursday, WA Police were called to a home in South Guildford where the body of 32-year-old Georgia Lyall was found.
A short time later, her ex partner‘s body was also found in a home 20km away.
Emergency services were called to a unit fire in Innaloo, about 22 km from South Guildford at about 11.30am where a man’s body was found- believed to be that of Ms Lyall’s ex partner Luke Noormets.
Mr Noormets, 33, is also believed to be linked to the Rebels bikie group, and had been jailed for several years before the incident for crimes including torture and waterboarding.
Friends and family of Ms Lyall have rallied to raise money for her now orphaned son, and shared their heartbreak of losing her.
In a GoFundMe page created to support her son, which has already raised more than $40,000, Ms Lyall has been described as independent and fiercely loyal.
“On Thursday 27 July 2023, the world lost a beautiful, bright and bubbly soul in Georgia Lyall. Fiercely loyal, independent, funny and caring,” the page shared.
“There wasn’t a day that went by where Georgia didn’t make a positive impact on someone’s life.
“Those close to her are now faced with the crushing reality that life will never be the same again.”
The page author claimed Ms Lyall’s son would now be cared for by her mother.
“Georgia was an extremely dedicated mum who was doing an amazing job raising him on her own.
“Any money that you can spare will be put towards the funeral for Georgia and to help support Robyn and her family during this incredibly stressful and sad time.”
Police said detectives had established that the deaths were linked, and the two were known to each other.
“There are no concerns for the safety of the wider community,” a police spokesperson said.
Investigations into the circumstances of both incidents are ongoing.
