Dashcam Owners Australia: Wild Sydney road rage incident comes to dramatic end

A driver caught up in a wild road rage incident has captured the shocking moment it came to a dramatic end.

The unbelievable clip, shared by dashcam Owners Australia on Facebook, shows a black vehicle dangerously overtaking the driver, who honks his horn.

The erratic driver appears to start and stop without warning, and almost causing a crash.

After the dashcam owner finally gets past them, the black car can be seen crashing into what appears to be a fire hydrant, which instantly explodes with water.

As he is driving away, the black car can be seen stuck in place as a torrent of water shoots up into the sky.

The insane clip, which appears to be filmed in Victoria, has since gone viral – racking up over 150,000 views and thousands of comments.

Viewers were quick to applaud the “sweet revenge” and “karma” of the erratic driver’s antics coming to a dramatic end.

“That is absolutely gold,” one wrote.

“Karma at its best.”

“Best thing I’ve seen all year,” another said.

“His ego got the better of him.”

According to a survey conducted by Finder, 73 per cent of Australian drivers have been the victims of a road rage incident.

Tailgating is the number one offence most likely to be experienced behind the wheel (49 per cent), followed by another driver blasting their horn (42 per cent).

Around 1 in 3 drivers (32%) have been subjected to verbal abuse on the road, with that same number (32 per cent) purposely cut off by another driver.

Last week, a video of a tradie’s ute being rear-ended moments after he brake-checked a driver went viral.

Dashcam footage captured the ugly road rage clash on the Pacific Highway in Greenwich, Sydney, around midday.

The clip begins with the driver with the mounted camera being angrily honked from behind as he sits in the right lane at a set of traffic lights.

The honking continues as the dashcam driver moves on from the lights before a white work ute overtakes.

The ute veers back in front and aggressively hits the skids.

The driver with the dashcam cannot stop in time as the ute’s tray scrapes up its bonnet.

Two tradies emerge peacocking from the work ute as the car driver behind yells, “I can’t believe you did that, mate. Why did you do that for? (sic)”

“You didn’t give me any time (to stop) man.”

One of the aggressive tradies demands the drivers’ licence, presumably for insurance purposes, shortly before the video cuts out.
