Lidcombe samurai sword attack: Man allegedly stabbed multiple times


A man has been rushed to hospital after he was allegedly attacked with a samurai sword in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to Ann St at Lidcombe just before midnight on Saturday, following reports a man had been stabbed multiple times.

The 26-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds to his arms and legs.

It is alleged he was attacked by another man with a samurai sword.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station, where he was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

It is understood the men are not known to each other.

He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
