Wyndham Vale, Melbourne: Adam Robinson remembered after suspected stabbing


A man who was killed in a suspected stabbing in Melbourne‘s southwest has been remembered as “cheerful” and “vibrant” by his grieving family.

Adam Robinson died outside his home in Wyndham Vale on Friday while he was enjoying a preliminary AFL final at home with his family and friends.

Police believe two groups of people were involved in a physical altercation on Butler Grove shortly before 10pm before officers found Mr Robinson.

A fundraiser campaign has since raised more than $5000 to help the family of the “vibrant and cheerful 21-year-old” cover the costs of the funeral.

“He (Mr Robinson) was the pillar of strength for his family, always wearing a smile that could light up a room,” organiser Lyneal Wedd said.

“His family and friends are heartbroken and grappling with the overwhelming burden of arranging a proper farewell for their cherished son and friend.

“In honour of his memory and the love he brought into the lives of all who knew him, we are coming together to help raise funds for his funeral costs.

“Every contribution will make a significant difference and provide comfort to his grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time.”

The circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and an investigation by Victoria police remains ongoing.

No arrests have been made, with investigator understood to believe those involved in the incident may be known to each other.
