Baldivis triple fatal: Three young men dead after head-on crash in Perth

Three young men are dead and two more are fighting for life after a head-on collision in Perth.

A Kia Stinger and an Audi sedan collided at speed on Sixty Eight Road in Baldivis about 5.10pm on Wednesday.

Three men died at the scene and two remain in a critical condition.

At least five people were still trapped when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

Acting Inspector Brendon Barwick said the jaws of life were used to cut away the roof of one of the cars to free a trapped passenger that survived the crash.

“It’s always miracle when someone survives that sort of crash, it’s quite confronting,” he told reporters.

“Hopefully they pull through.”

Aerial vision of the crash scene shows the moment a dozen firefighters worked over the car to execute the challenging extraction.

Inspector Barwick said the two men rescued from the wreck are the two that remain in a critical condition in hospital.

One was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital and the other was taken by car to Rockingham General Hospital.
