Curtis Stone releases BBQ collectables range with Coles

One supermarket has launched a brand new collectables range alongside its most well known ambassador in time for summer and the festive season.

Coles and Michelin star chef Curtis Stone have created a barbecue collectables range, which features eight items such as multipurpose BBQ shears, a grill basket, cooking utensils, heatproof mitts, marinade dish, carving board, carving knife and fork and a teppanyaki plate.

All of the items are made from durable materials to withstand high heat.

The range, which launched in stores on October 4, is run on BBQ credits, which can be earned every time a shopper spends $20 and scans their Flybuys card.

The credits can be then redeemed instore or on Coles Online for a piece from the new collection, however the Coles app is excluded from the offer.

Aussies are also able to score a bonus credit when they purchase a Coles Finest product.

Curtis’ BBQ collectables range comes as Coles launches 292 new products ahead of the Christmas season, with the supermarket claiming there would be something “for every budget”.

In a survey conducted by the supermarket, 20 per cent more people said their plans were to cook more at home this festive season.

Some standouts from the new Coles Finest range include Coles Finest Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken Breast, which is RSPCA approved and Australian made, Coles Finest Minted Peas, Parmentier Potatoes and Parisian Carrots as well as the Coles Christmas Negroni-Flavoured Sorbet, which is an orange-based sorbet with notes of Vermouth, Gin and Campari.

“Christmas is such a special time of year for Aussies, and we’ve thought of everything to make sure Coles’ high-quality and delicious products cater to all Christmas styles — from a casual backyard lunch to a formal dinner with all the trimmings — and offer value to customers when they shop with my new BBQ collectable range,” Curtis said.

“From single, double and triple-smoked hams, to a decadent luxury Belgian chocolate and orange pudding, Coles’ Christmas range has you covered no matter how you Christmas.

“My favourite thing at Christmas is fresh tiger prawns which can be prepared so many different ways, grilled on the barbie, on a seafood platter with a little dipping sauce or even tossed through a salad perfect for a hot summer day.”

Leah Weckert, Coles Chief Executive Officer, said the range’s focus was to have something that could cater to any budget.

She said the Coles team understands 2023 has been a hard year financially for many Australians, saying Coles was committed to being the choice for Christmas for all customers.

Mia Llyod, the Coles Liquor General Manager Customer, said Liquorland has more award-winning wines available than ever before.

“With 150 new products in our range, we truly have a treasure trove of high-quality drops that are great value for customers, including some of my favourites — our award-winning Hidden Gem Semillon sauvignon blanc which is an unbelievable $4 a bottle, James Busby Vineyard Series McLaren Vale Grenache which recently won a Double Gold at the Melbourne International Wine, Beer and Spirits competition at $40 and Canard

Duchêne NV Brut Champagne from $70,” Mia said.

“Our customers are sure to find something perfect for any festive celebration — from Christmas parties through to Boxing Day and New Years — helping to make this holiday season a time to remember.”

Coles Christmas range will start dropping into stores from November 1.
