Chloe Liem: Stay-at-home daughter’ reveals daily budget

A TikToker from Singapore has gained a surprise following for her life as a ‘stay-at-home daughter’, often spending thousands of dollars a day on her dad’s credit card.

Chloe Liem proudly shows off her extravagant lifestyle, blowing money on designer bags, jewellery and pricey lunches with her equally rich friends.

In one video alone, she spends $5,075 (A$5,843) in one day.

“What I spend in a day as a stay-at-home daughter living in Singapore,” she said in the introduction.

“I started off the morning at Cartier with zero intention of spending any money. I promise I just wanted to restring my bracelet because it’s technically free but obviously one thing led to another and next thing I knew, I was spending 5k on a pair of earrings.”

She also had a lunch with four of her close friends at a Michelin star fine-dining restaurant called Imperial Treasure, dropping another $800 in the process.

The cheapest thing that the university student had bought that day were some desserts at the city state’s iconic Marmalade Pantry, that costed $25.

At the end of the video, she says she counts everything she spent as ‘free’ as it wasn’t her money.

“I took my parent’s car so I’m counting it as free, along with everything else I spent because I charge everything to my dad’s credit card,” she said.

Many in the comments were envious of Miss Liem’s lifestyle.

“Stay at home daughter’ is the vibe,” one person commented.

“Slay girl! If I had rich parents I’ll be a stay at home daughter in a heartbeat,” another wrote.

One fan added: “The stay at home daughter thing is what I want.”

Others saw the light side and compared it to their own situations.

“The only thing I could afford right now is the $25 dessert,” one wrote about the TikToker’s lavish lunch.

“And I’m here wondering how I can extend my maternity leave from 8 weeks to 16 weeks”, another added.

Miss Liem breaks down what you’d need to be a ‘SAHD’ in another video, calling it the ‘stay-at-home daughter starter pack’.

“Starting off with an obvious one: a loaded father is a non-negotiable if you want to be a stay-at-home daughter,” she said.

“Think a big shot real estate mogul, a finance bro or if you’re a little bit more mysterious: he just works for the family business.”

She goes on to say that attending private school and making connections with people of similar backgrounds and that by the age of 16, you should have the “holy trinity of rich girl bracelets”.

When it comes to picking out your faithful rich girl sidekick, Miss Liem says that they can only be small dog breeds.

“The requirements is it has to fit into a Birkin 35. So think poodles, Poms or Chihuahuas,” she said.
