The former Jetstar pilot accused of the murder of two elderly childhood sweethearts who disappeared on a camping trip has been seen for the first time since his arrest nearly two years ago.
Gregory Lynn appeared in the Victorian Supreme Court on Monday for a pre-trial hearing before Justice Michael Croucher.
Prosecutors allege Mr Lynn killed childhood sweethearts Carol Clay, 73, and Russell Hill, 74, in Victoria’s high country in March 2020.
Photos taken as Mr Lynn was led into court are the first since his arrest in November 2021.
The 57-year-old’s once dark curly hair is now grey.
Ms Clay and Mr Hill vanished while camping in the remote Victorian Alps, with partial remains allegedly linked to the pair discovered more than 20 months later.
Prosecutors allege Mr Lynn was involved in a deadly fight with the pair in the Wonnangatta Valley, a day after the couple arrived on March 19.
He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to face trial in February next year.
Throughout Mr Lynn’s previous court appearances, he has been seen calmly taking notes of the proceedings.
He is represented by prominent Victorian barrister Dermot Dann KC.
