A pilot has died in a fatal aircraft crash in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley.
Reports of the crash were made at about 7.15am on Sunday morning, after the air craft plunged into a private property on Snipey Road, in Goulburn Weir.
A male passenger in his 70s was also in the aircraft at the time of the incident.
A spokesman for Ambulance Victoria said he was treated for chest injuries and flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Footage from the crash site show the gyrocopter in a very damaged condition, with debris scattered nearby the body of the aircraft.
The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, and Victorian police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
Acting Inspector Darron Huffer will also speak to media near the crash scene at 12.30pm Sunday.

While gyrocopters, also known as an autogyro or a gyroplane, look similar to a helicopter, the rotor is not operated by an engine.
Instead the disc uses upward flowing air to make it rotate.
In Australia, pilots must have a recognised gyroplane certificate in order to fly the aircraft.
