My Muscle Chef releases $11 chicken vodka pasta

It’s no secret that during the height of lockdown, TikTok food trends had a grip on all of us like we had never seen before.

There was one that stood out from the crowd – model Gigi Hadid’s spicy vodka pasta, which thousands attempted to recreate and share on social media to rack up millions of views.

Now, ready meal food company My Muscle Chef has launched a new dish to satisfy the vodka pasta craving without having to put in any work.

The brand recently released two new meals – the chicken vodka penne and the loaded beef potato wedges.

The former is low in sugar but has 45 grams of protein and is high in fibre, featuring chicken breast pieces, penne pasta and a sauce of vodka, cream and tomato.

Meanwhile, the loaded wedges has beef, black beans, a layer of mozzarella cheese and potato wedges.

Both items are available for $10.95.

Allan Parrish, who appeared on season three of MasterChef Australia, shared a kitchen with Heston Blumenthal and holds multiple titles at the Qantas First Lounge over 10 years, is the man behind the new creations.

He stepped in as My Muscle Chef’s new Culinary Director, working with dietitians and chefs for months to bring the new collection to the world.

Social media users have responded accordingly to the fact they can have the viral dish that exploded in popularity in a matter of minutes.

“That penne has my name written all over it,” one social media user commented on the discovery.

Another said they were “so keen” to try both of the new dishes.

“OMGGGGGG,” another said, adding a handful of fire emojis to show their excitement.

“Adding this to the list,” one added.

The dishes are available to buy at Coles, Woolworths, IGA, Harris Farm and other independent grocery stores, as well as online.
