An ex-Adelaide woman accused of attempting to kill her former partner and plotting to kill his mother will be extradited to South Australia after she was flown from a Pacific island by police escort.
Lisa Lines, 43, was arrested last week on the tiny island nation of Palau where she remained in custody at Koror jail before touching down from Taiwan at Brisbane International Airport on Thursday.
Ms Lines was charged with two counts of attempted murder and with two counts of conspiracy to murder over allegations she tried to have Jonathan Hawtin and his mother Rhonda killed on separate occasions between 2017 and 2022.
After spending the night in the Brisbane watch-house, Ms Lines was not required to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court when her matter briefly mentioned on Friday morning.
The Queensland Police prosecutor, Sergeant Matt Kahler, told the court he’d received the extradition papers from his South Australian counterparts.
The duty lawyer, representing Ms Lines, told the court Friday she’d spoken to her client who had accepted it was her name on the extradition warrant.
The extradition was granted by consent, and Ms Lines is expected to be returned to South Australia to appear before court on Monday.
Ms Lines co-accused, Zacharia Josef Bruckner, was also extradited to South Australia from Brisbane last week.
He fronted Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday, charged over the alleged attempted murder of Mr Hawtin in the Adelaide Hills in 2017.
Mr Bruckner is also facing charges of conspiracy to murder Mr Hawtin and his mother, Rhonda Hawtin.
