Sophie Cachia attends the AFLW awards night with Sophie Van De Heuvel

It’s one of the biggest nights in Australian women’s sport – and the AFLW players and guests simply did not miss when it came to showing their style off the field.

Influencer and entrepreneur Sophie Cachia, who attended to support Essendon’s Sophie Van De Heuvel, was one of the stars of the night when it came to the fashion.

Sophie wore a plunging black suit jacket for the occasion, which she paired with looser fitting black trousers.

She finished the look with a sleek bun at the nape of her neck, drop earrings, a sparkling handbag and sheer pointed heels.

Meanwhile, the football player wore a figure-hugging tan dress featuring long sleeves and a cut-out around the midriff.

She paired the look with simple jewellery, wearing her hair out, and a black handbag.

“I’m here to support her,” Sophie told the Herald Sun about attending alongside the football player.

“Always such an advocate for the competition. It’s a nice change to see everyone out of their footy shorts. I’ve got lots of beautiful friends that I see working hard. My nine-year-old boy is very jealous he’s not here.”

Charlotte Taylor, who plays for the Collingwood Magpies, also wore a daring outfit for the occasion.

She opted for a wine red lace dress, which was completely sheer and had spaghetti straps. She paired the look with loose curls and strappy heels.

Meanwhile, teammate Brittany Bonnici wore a satin blue dress with a halter neck style bustline.

Black was definitely a popular colour choice on the night, with players from the Gold Coast Suns wearing various all-black outfits.

However, others opted for lighter colours such as a forest green, lemon and cream. One of the players even wore a funky two-piece with a black crop top, brightening up the evening.

Tigers players Sarah Hosking, Katie Brennan and Monique Conti arrived at the event together.

Conti, who cleaned up and won the competition’s best and fairest medal, wore a simple black dress with a daring cut out up the side. The dress also featured a lower cut bust.

Brisbane Lions player Courtney Hodder wore a one shoulder satin blue dress for the awards ceremony.

The dress featured a thigh-high split and a cut out around the ribs, which the material gathered in.

She finished the look with a small white bubble clutch and silver earrings, styling her hair out.

Aussie music artist G Flip was a guest at the event, attending alongside with wife Chrishell Stause, who appeared on American television series Selling Sunset.

G Flip wore a three-piece suit for the occasion, with their hair swept back, and a pair of sunglasses.

Chrishell wore a pink mini skirt with butterflies on the hem, pairing the look with strappy silver heels and a black corset top.

St Kilda player Jesse Wardlaw, Bombers star Brooke Walker and Port Adelaide’s Indy Tahau posed for a photo together, with each woman opting for a long dress but in a different neckline and colour.

Suits appeared to be a theme of the night, with Bombers players Kodi Jacques and Maddy Prespakis both opting for the look.

Kodi wore a plunging powder blue suit, meanwhile Maddy wore a houndstooth print and paired it with a small silver bag.

Adelaide Crows player Anne Hatchard attended with wife Georgie, with the couple tying the knot in an intimate Vegas ceremony earlier this year.

The pair dressed to compliment each other as Anne wore a beautiful black suit and patent dress shoes while Georgie wore a floor length dress with a daring split that showed off her tattoo.

Georgie’s dress also featured an off the shoulder style reminiscent of a ball gown, and her hair was curled and placed on the side.

Collingwood Magpies player Sabrina Frederick, who wore a red velvet suit jacket and pants combination, also attended with her wife, Lili Cadee-Matthews.
