Mascot, NSW: Teens injured in horror Sydney crash while driver flees the scene

Police are searching for a driver after three teenage passengers were left in hospital by a horror crash in Sydney’s south.

Emergency services rushed to Southern Cross Drive in Mascot just before 1am on Sunday after hearing reports that a white Kia Cerato and red Honda Jazz had collided.

Officers from the rescue and bomb disposal squad along with firefighters had to free a 13-year-old boy trapped inside the Kia.

He had to be cut free from the vehicle before being rushed to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.

Two more passengers, a 12 and 13 girl, were taken to the same hospital for observations.

The driver of the Kia, which police have confirmed was stolen from Alexandria on Saturday, fled the scene.

Police have been unable to determine whether the driver was an adult and are continuing their inquiries.

The driver of the Honda was not injured in the crash.

Officers have established a crime scene and are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
