Bluey’s World is coming to Brisbane, Australia in August 2024

A real-life recreation of “Bluey’s World” from the popular award-winning TV show Bluey is coming to Australia next year.

BBC Studios announced the “groundbreaking” attraction will open in August 2024 in Brisbane, Queensland.

Bluey fans can expect a “one-of-a-kind” experience where visitors can journey through a life-size version of Bluey’s bedroom, kitchen, and backyard complete with the show’s signature Poinciana tree.

Interactive play and soundscapes inspired by the most loved Bluey episodes will immerse visitors in the TV show, while opportunities to book birthday parties at the venue will also be up for grabs.

A gift shop, cafe, and playground will all be housed in a purpose-built, 4000 square metre site called “Northshore Pavillion,” within Brisbane’s state-of-the-art Northshore entertainment precinct in Hamilton.

Stirling Hinchcliffe, Queensland Tourism Minister said Bluey was a Queensland icon and is now here to stay.

“Brisbane and our great Queensland lifestyle are the obvious choice for the world debut of Bluey’s World. The world-famous Brisbane-based Heeler family has taken global TV and streaming by storm with many embedded animated references in the show to the Queensland capital’s landmarks and lifestyles,” he said.

“Bluey’s World is where Australian and overseas families can connect with their favourite Heeler household and explore Queensland’s world-class visitor experiences.

“This is a huge win for fans and tipped to be a huge success for Queensland tourism operators too with Tourism and Events Queensland predicting Bluey’s World will generate up to $18 million in visitor spending.”

Fiona Lang, BBC Studios general manager said BBC Studios was thrilled to announce the launch of Bluey’s World.

“Bluey’s World is not just an experience; it’s a celebration of the heartwarming moments that make Bluey so authentically Australian and that bring to life the joyful simplicity that can be found in families around the world.”

She said it would be a “one-of-a-kind adventure, where the world of Bluey comes to life in real life”.

Ever since Bluey first hit TV screens in 2018, the show has rapidly transformed into one of Australia’s biggest cultural exports with episodes streamed in more than 60 countries around the world.

Known for its “heart, humour, and relatable family moments” according to BBC Studios – the company behind the program alongside the Australian Broadcasting Network – Bluey has proven an instant classic.

The show has won an Emmy, sold over 5 million Bluey books, and had its album debut at #1

on the ARIA Charts alongside a global broadcast deal with Disney.

Now Bluey’s World will further add to the blue heeler fever in Brisbane where fans can already stay in a life-size version of the house through Airbnb, quipped with food, games, and toys from the show.

The BBC Studios and HVK productions creation, backed with funding from the Queensland government and Brisbane City Council, will make tickets available for pre-sale soon.
