Serena Williams praised for donating breast milk

One of the greatest athletes in the world has been praised for her heartfelt and kind act that is helping many mothers.

Serena Williams was on a recent trip to New York when she had left over breast milk and decided she wanted to donate what remained in a bid to help other people looking after children.

“After going through a screening I was able to donate it instead of taking the milk home,” the tennis champion revealed in an Instagram post.

“I know so many amazing women that adopt or are unable to make milk. It felt amazing. BTW Someone out there is getting some super soldier milk.”

Social media users rushed to praise Williams for her actions, with many joking about how powerful her breast milk would be.

“With your diet and who you are I would drink that milk myself,” one social media user joked.

Another said: “My baby is adopted and ended up having severe dairy allergies, so we relied on donor milk. It was such a gift to us and I’m always so grateful when I think about it!”

“Imagine getting Serena Williams’ breast milk. Liquid gold is an understatement,” another said.

One added: “I can only imagine what some athletes and body builders would be willing to pay for that milk.”

“When my daughter was born, she was not able to drink any formula for a couple of days, the donated breast milk was a big help. Thanks so much for donating,” one social media user gushed over Williams’ act. ️

“Wow….! Seriously mind blowing how a mother’s body is the life bearing/giving, and sustaining vessel,” another social media user commented.

One happy social media user said: “Women supporting women in the most basic and loving way.”

“Some kid’s backhand just got stronger,” another joked.
