An anti-vaxxer has documented the moment he became enraged with a pharmacist over a sign at the front of the store.
The man filmed himself unleashing a hostile rant over a notice outside the pharmacy which encouraged people to “speak to us about vaccination”.
He began asking the chemist worker if she was happy to be “complicit in murder” by administering vaccines before claiming that people were “dying everywhere”.
The heated exchanged, filmed at a pharmacy in Port Kembla, New South Wales, was uploaded to anti-vaccination Facebook page, which is run by self-proclaimed sovereign citizen David Graham.
The signs outside the chemist are provided by NSW Health and advise customers to ask what vaccines are provided.
“Hey I see your sign out there… can I talk to you about the deaths and the sickness we’ve got from this vaccination?” the man loudly asks the pharmacist in the footage.
“People are dying everywhere from vaccines. We have heart attacks, we have myocarditis, we have pericarditis.”
The woman in the store advised the man to speak to his doctor.
“No, but you’re giving the vaccinations out. Why do I need a doctor when I can get a death shot right here?” he asked.
The pharmacist repeated her advice that he should be raising his concerns with a doctor or the government.
“No, but what are you doing this for? You’re killing people,” he said.
Another worker came to assist the staff member and told the man the state’s department of health had provided the signage.
“I don’t care, you’ve put the sign out so the onus is on you,” he fired back.
After threatening to call the police, the man left the store while hurling insults at the pharmacy’s staff members.
“Now you put the phone down, you’re a big bluff mate just like shooting people with bioweapons, killing people,” he said.
According to the World Health Organisation there are currently “vaccines to prevent more than 20 life-threatening diseases”.
“Immunisation currently prevents 3.5-5 million deaths every year from diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, influenza and measles.”
While some vaccine may have side-effects, the vast majority of these are minor, such as headaches and nausea, which will disappear in a day or two.
However, in extremely rare cases some vaccines may cause more severe reactions.
A July 2022 study of Covid-19 vaccines found the incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis , which is inflammation of the heart or surrounding tissue, was 320 cases within 98 days after seven million vaccines doses.
Another 2022 study found that after 8.5 million doses of Covid vaccines there were 736 thromboembolic (blood clot) events.
Covid vaccines have also been shown to have saved an estimated 14.4 million lives worldwide within a single 12 month period.
