Two people have died in a suspected drowning south of Perth.
Emergency services pulled their bodies from the water after they were found in an estuary about midday on Thursday.
They were spotted at Herron Point Boat Ramp in Birchmont, about 30km south of Mandurah.
“The bodies of two people were located in the Peel Estuary near Birchmont,” police said in a statement.
“At this time, the deaths are not being treated as suspicious.”
It is the latest water-related death in the past three days, with three men being pulled unresponsive from the water at popular Australian beaches.
A man in his 70s was found unresponsive in the water at Cabbage Tree Harbour on the NSW Central Coast on Wednesday, and could not be saved despite desperate CPR attempts.
A 79-year-old man also died in a suspected drowning on Tuesday at Aldinga Beach in South Australia, with CPR again failing to revive him.
A separate incident also saw a 59-year-old male surfer killed in the waves, after he was pulled unconscious from the water at the Main Beach in Byron Bay on Monday morning.
