The son of one of the most famous models of all time looks just like his Canadian mother as the pair walk the red carpet.
Augustin James Evangelista joined his mother Linda at the 2024 Groundbreaker Awards Dinner during Design on a Dime 2024 at Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City on Wednesday.
The supermodel, 58, wore a sheer black button-up shirt to the event, which she paired with a full-length skirt.
Meanwhile Augustin, 17, wore a black suit with an open collar white shirt without a tie.
Augustine, and his mother, bear a striking resemblance with their curly brunette locks and strong jaw lines.
The pair held hands as they made their way along the red carpet, flashing soft smiles at the camera.
It’s not the first time the mother and son have coordinated their outfits. Last year, at the Kering Foundation’s second annual Caring for Women dinner, the pair wore matching suits.
Evangelista wore a white blouse with a necktie, blazer and long skirt while her son wore a velvet suit with loafers.
But, despite the chic ensembles seen at both events, Evangelista revealed to Harper’s Bazaar in 2013 that her son didn’t exactly love fashion.
“Let’s just say I have a child who doesn’t like fashion,” she revealed more than a decade ago.
“He wants jerseys. We watch sports and go to games. I do boy things now.”
However, it looks like things have changed in the decade since.
Augustin was raised away from the spotlight with few photos available of him as a child available for the world to see. Evangelista didn’t even reveal her son’s father’s identity for many years, claiming the father was a New York architect until a child support battle erupted in 2011 where Evangelista wanted $US46,000 a month. They settled in 2012, but the details aren’t publicly available.
Augustin’s father, Kering chief executive François-Henri Pinault, is now married to actress Salma Hayek.
Although he has recently made public appearances alongside his mother and his stepmother, it is still rare of him to be in the spotlight.
