More than 500 items slashed in huge Big W’s Big Whopping Toy Sale


More than 500 different toys are part of the highly anticipated Big W Big Whopping Toy Sale this year.

The annual event kicks off on June 11 at 5am online and 8am in stores, running all the way through until July 10.

Big W has included more than 500 toys in this year’s offering including items from Furby, Paw Patrol and Fisher-Price slashed to “better than half price”.

Aussies can save $100 on the Paw Patrol the Mighty Movie Aircraft Carrier, slashed from $199 to just $99, as well as a savings of $18 on Bluey’s Escape Convertible and $26 on the Adopt Me Squishmallow Queen Bee.

The catalogue drops online on May 31 at 12pm AEST.

“BIG W’s annual toy event is one of the most anticipated toy sales on the calendar, with hundreds of thousands of customers stocking up on birthday and Christmas presents each year,” Christine Faulkner, Big W’s chief toy buyer, told news.com.au.

“We are continuing to ensure customers are getting great value with a range of big brand toys better than half price, as well as increasing our budget friendly Somersault range and unmissable offers across big ticket family items including gaming, tech and sporting & fitness items.”

Many Australians use the Big W Toy Sale as an opportunity to get ready for Christmas as it allows the to get items on the cheaper side as well as take advantage of things such Big W’s extended Layby for Christmas.

The $3 extended layby for Christmas allows Aussies to pay off their items over 20 weeks with collection by November 8.

Shoppers can also claim Everyday Rewards points throughout the sale, including 10x points on items such as Lego Space and Gabby’s Dollhouse.

There is also pick-up, home delivery and direct to boot are all available through the Big W Whopping Toy Sale.
