Emily Janetzk, Olena Hrobelko missing from Lavington, NSW, Vic border


A desperate search is underway for a mother and her young daughter who have been missing for at least five days.

Emily Janetzki, 35, and her daughter Olena Hrobelko, two, were last seen in Lavington, on the NSW and Victorian border on Thursday.

Police are concerned for the pair’s welfare, after their family approached police for help in finding the mother and daughter.

A public appeal for help has now been launched.

“Emily may be travelling in a blue Mazda with NSW registration CGM85P,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“They are known to frequent the Lavington and Myrtleford areas.”

Ms Janetzki has been described as caucasian, 165cm tall with a thin build and blonde, long hair.

The mother was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jumper, black jeans and black boots, police said.

Olena was last seen wearing light-coloured pants and a jumper.

Images of Ms Janetzki and her daughter have been shared to help with the search, as the family are deeply concerned for the pair’s welfare.

Anyone with information about the mother and daughter’s whereabouts has been urged to call Murray River Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
