Detail on Tammy Hembrow’s wedding invite surprises fans

Australia’s biggest influencer has had her wedding invitations leaked – with a key detail about the big day leaving fans “surprised”.

Tammy Hembrow and her fiance, Love Island Australia’s Matt Zukowski, announced their engagement in December after dating for just three months.

Hembrow, who has been engaged three times but never tied the knot, is set to walk down the aisle in November in Byron Bay according to leaked wedding invitations obtained by Influencer Updates Australia.

The details of the invite were made public after it was accidentally shared by a guest, another Australian influencer, on YouTube – inadvertently exposing private wedding information including the dress code, the gift list and whether or not kids are invited.

“While we love your babies, our wedding will be child-free,” it reads.

“Babysitting can be arranged upon request. Bubs are more than welcome to join us at the recovery party on Sunday.”

Amber Paul, who runs Influencer Updates Australia, said: “No kids surprised me. Surely Tammy’s three kids, as well as nieces and nephews will be at least at the ceremony.”

News.com.au has contacted Hembrow and Zukowski for comment.

Debate about whether or not to have kids at weddings has raged on for years, with many unable to agree on the matter.

One bride went viral last year for making her big day a “child-free” event, but the move sparked widespread criticism online.

The decision, which was explained in a TikTok video that garnered thousands of likes and millions of views, came due to the couple’s “space and budget constraints” – but it led to many chiming in.

“Their wedding, their choice, if you don’t like it, don’t go. Simple,” one person commented.

“As a mum-of-three, if I’m invited to a wedding where kids ARE allowed, I’m not coming. Let’s make more events kid-free,” another argued.

Hembrow has three children, Wolf, nine, and Saskia, seven, with influencer Reece Hawkins, and Posey, one, who she shares with former Ironman Matt Poole.

The star revealed in an interview with Stellar in March that she was inundated with sexist criticism following her engagement announcement, with many labelling it an “insane” decision and joking “third time’s a charm” – given that it came less than a year after she split from her ex-fiance, Poole.

“When people say, ‘Oh, you’re introducing your kids to another man’, I get where they’re coming from,” Hembrow admitted.

“But I’m not doing this lightly.”

The belief that “you should work things out for (the sake of) the kids”, she added, “is just, literally, not the best option”.

“Blended families can be amazing, and my goal is to always get along with my exes,” Hembrow said. “I always do what’s in the best interest of my kids.”
