Perth: Missing man Bradley Hutton’s body discovered in lake

An extensive police search to find a man who had been missing for 10 days tragically ended after his body was discovered in a suburban lake.

Bradley Hutton, 52, had been missing since June 9 from the Perth suburb of Padbury, with CCTV footage showing the missing man walking around the area before he went missing.

Air wing, mounted police and the Perth bike control were all deployed to help search for Mr Hutton around the areas he frequented.

About 4.30pm on Wednesday, his body was found in a lake in Hillarys, a nearby suburb in Perth’s north, just hours after police put out a call to the public to check their backyards and parks to help find Mr Hutton as the search entered its 10th day.

WA Police Senior Sergeant Adrian Fuller said Mr Hutton had not accessed his bank accounts and methods used to locate a missing person had been unsuccessful.

With the weather and rain, police had hoped Mr Hutton may have found shelter in a park or someone’s yard.

“Mr Hutton’s movements are pretty routine, the fact he hasn’t contacted family, friends or associates over the past 10 days or so is very concerning to police,” Mr Fuller said.

“We’re doing everything we can to find out where Mr Hutton has gone.”

Mr Hutton’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
