Body discovered in burnt-out caravan at Honey Hush Caravan Park in Laverton North


Police are investigating the circumstances that resulted in a body being discovered in a burnt-out caravan in Melbourne’s west.

Emergency services were called to Honey Hush Caravan Park at Leaks Rd in Laverton North about 6.30pm on Sunday following reports of a fire.

The body, which is yet to be formally identified, was discovered after authorities extinguished the blaze.

Police say they have yet to determine the exact cause of the fire; however, it is not being treated as suspicious.

A crime scene has been established at the site, with detective and fire investigators set to attend the scene throughout Monday.
