Chullora: man dead in workplace accident at Tip Top bread factory in Sydney


A man has died in a workplace accident at the Tip Top bread factory in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to the factory in Chullora at 4am on Thursday following reports of a workplace accident.

Police confirmed a 57-year-old had been seriously injured after he became trapped by a forklift.

The man tragically died at the factory on Muir Rd.

Police do not believe the death was suspicious.

Officers have forensically examined the scene and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

SafeWork has been notified of the accident.

The Tip Top factory has reportedly been closed following the tragic death.

Ben Fordham told listeners on his 2GB radio show that there would be no deliveries from the bread factory on Friday and limited deliveries on Saturday.
