Melbourne: House fire kills two men in their 20s in Werribee


Two men in their 20s have died after a fire ripped through a two-storey townhouse in Melbourne’s west.

Emergency services arrived at the Werribee home at about 7.30am on Saturday.

A dozen firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire to the buildings second storey.

They were able to get the fire under control and the scene was declared safe at about 8.45am.

However, two men in their 20s died at the scene.

A 30-year-old man survived and was taken to hospital with serious burns.

It is still unknown what caused the fire.
