World surf champion Tyler Wright has shared the first photos from her intimate loungeroom wedding with partner Lilli Baker this week.
The 28-year-old two-time world champion revealed the news to her 227K Instagram followers on Thursday with a carousel of photos captioned “The Mrs Wright’s 22/11/22”.
The newlyweds each wore floor-length form-fitting white gowns with vastly different takes on a traditional bridal dress.
While Wright’s hair was adorned with a long veil that grazed the floor, Baker’s look was elevated by a pair of glittering jewel earrings.
A second carousel was posted on Saturday with the caption, “Six weeks ago we decided to have a tiny lounge room wedding on a Tuesday. This is how it turned out”.
This series of photos featured some emotional snaps of the couple’s family celebrating their love as Ms Baker’s father wraps her in a hug and the couple pop champagne into their backyard.
The entire Wright surfing dynasty was in attendance including older brother Owen Wright (World Surf League Champion and Olympic bronze medallist) and Mikey Wright (Men’s Championship Tour).
Their news drew congratulations from the pro-surfing community and celebrities including Celeste Barber, Torah Bright and fellow surfers Sally Fitzgibbons and Stephanie Gilmore.
“Beautiful. Congrats to you both. Wish you all the very best,” wrote three-time world champion Mick Fanning.
“Oh wow,” said brother Owen Wright.
Wright and Baker met in Newcastle last year while Baker was working at a local cafe and two-time world champion Wright was in town for a surfing competition.
