Moon Dog Brewery recalls seltzers over illness fears

A popular alcoholic drink has been recalled over fears people could fall ill if they knock one back.

Moon Dog Brewery’s summer berry and grape flavour seltzers are both being recalled because of secondary fermentation.

The six per cent booze drinks were sold within a mixed 10 pack and a mixed 3×10 pack.

The product has been available for sale at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market & Vintage Cellars across Australia. It was only sold at Liquorland in Tasmania.

The drinks’ best before dates are August 1 2023, August 2 2023 and August 30 2023.

“Products containing excess alcohol and carbonation may cause illness/injury if consumed,” the food standards authority said.

“Consumers should not drink or open this product, and should dispose of it safely.”

Anyone who bought the seltzers should contact the brewery for a refund.
