‘Father Christmas’ pepper sprayed by police at Bunnings

A man dressed as Father Christmas has been pepper sprayed and arrested in a bizarre incident at a Bunnings store.

The Santa impersonator was seen acting erratically at the hardware warehouse in Frankston, Melbourne, and refused to leave, 9 News reported.

“Officers were forced to escort the man off the premises but he resisted officers and assaulted them,” Victoria Police said.

He was then pepper sprayed by officers.

The man was taken to hospital and investigations are ongoing.

News.com.au understands that the man was not the real Santa and that Father Christmas will deliver presents as normal overnight into Christmas Day.
