Pamela Anderson stuns in Baywatch inspired swimsuit for new collection

Life’s just beachy for Pamela Anderson.

The Playboy model donned a cherry-hued swimsuit in the campaign for her new swimwear collection with label Frankies Bikinis, an ode to her Baywatch days with the scooped neckline and high-cut legs.

The blond bombshell is set to release a capsule collection with Frankies Bikinis on May 4, paying homage to the staple style of the ’90s, reported the New York Post.

“I’m always in a bathing suit. I’ve tried everything, so I’m a pretty good connoisseur when it comes to swimwear,” Anderson, 55, told Vogue magazine.

The model, actor and writer – as well as the star of the recent Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story – raised her sons next door to Frankies Bikini founder Francesca Aiello in Paradise Cove, California, when the business was first budding.

“Frankie was making little bathing suits when I was there and putting bathing suits in my mailbox,” Anderson, who recently released her memoir Love, Pamela recalled of her days in Malibu.

In an Instagram post promoting the upcoming launch, Aiello gushed her adoration for the one and only “Pamela f**king Anderson.”

“I truly can’t even find the words to express my gratitude to all that worked on this project. to know Pam is to love her,” Aiello wrote.

“We met when I was a kid in our little trailer park in Malibu (where I grew up with her sons), a real full circle moment for the two of us. This collection is a reflection of all things Pamela, and all things Paradise Cove.”

Since the brand’s humble, homemade beginnings on the west coast, Frankies Bikinis has come a long way. The company has quickly become a viral sensation, teaming up with the likes of actor — and actor Glen Powell’s rumoured new gal pal — Sydney Sweeney and model Gigi Hadid.

Despite being inspired by Anderson’s iconic beach days, the collection – priced from $US80 to $US195 – isn’t just for sitting pretty.

As someone who has spent days on end in bathing suits, Anderson knows how to make skimpy swimwear both sexy and serviceable.

“There’s a practicality, it’s not just about posing on the beach for pictures,” said Anderson, who has been “spoiled” by spending most of her beachside tenure in custom-made pieces inspired by her coastal career.

The Canadian native has returned to her northern roots and now resides in a waterside ranch.

The change of pace has left her longing for swimwear that is not only flattering but also functional.

“I want a bathing suit that I can get into the boat with, look at crabs with my niece on the rocks and get a tan,” the star explained.

“Now I have the bathing suits that I want.”

But the Baywatch inspired scarlet suit isn’t the only standout style in the upcoming 22-piece collection.

In campaign photos, Anderson is photographed, perched next to a tree, in a canary yellow one-piece with tiny pink flowers.

The same pattern was crafted into a two-piece bikini complete with delicate and playful frills, modelled by another woman positioned next to the Barb Wire heroine.

“I say everyone remembers them, but maybe not because I’m old,” she explained. “But those underwear with the ruffles on the side? Those little details were my favourite things and I haven’t really seen them since.”

There is also a simple, white one-piece, another with dainty pastel flowers and a staple white string bikini.

“I have one in my safe,” she said, revealing it’s her best-kept party trick.

She recalled slipping into the ruby suit, taking a quick rinse and attempting to “rescue” her friends.

“I’ll try it on every once in a while for fun. It still fits,” she said with a laugh. “But these fit better.”
