$30 knit Kmart dress compared to $160 Dissh version

Shoppers are praising a $30 item from Kmart, with some comparing it to a designer item that is more than four times the price.

Joy, who goes by @joytanpillay on TikTok, jumped on social media to show off her latest Kmart find — the Long Sleeve V-neck Ribbed Maxi Dress.

The dress, which retails for $30, comes in a bone beige, black or grape colour in sizes six to 20.

“Ladies, you need to run to Kmart because they’ve got this beautiful knit dress,” Joy told her followers.

“It actually reminds me of the popular Dissh sleeved knit midi dress that went viral on TikTok last year.”

Joy was referring to Dissh’s Reign dress, which has a $159.99 price tag, which comes in a XS to XXL. The dress comes in a black, stone or white colour.

Joy said she was “so impressed” with the quality of the dress, calling the material “soft and comfy”.

“It isn’t see through and it’s such a flattering cut and length,” she said.

“Kmart, you’ve slayed once again.”

Joy wasn’t the only one who thought it looked like the Dissh dress.

“OMG looks like the Dissh dress,” one social media user said.

Another said: “Quality isn’t anywhere near Dissh but defs good for Kmart.”

“I have this in black and it is soo comfy too! And surprisingly warm,” another social media user commented.

“INSANE how it looks exactly like the dress Witchery did for $150 something omg? My work also did a limited edition dress like this in a dark fern for $120,” one person said.

A Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au the dress hit stores in April and has become incredibly popular in the cooler months.

“We know our customers love the comfort of a knitted dress in winter, and with our V-neck Rib Maxi Dress we wanted to give people the latest trending details in the flare sleeve and flattering swing hem,” the spokesperson said.

“This dress is so versatile, you can wear it during the day with a ballet flat and a denim jacket or take it from day to night adding a trench coat and winter boot.”
