Food blogger recreates KFC’s Zinger Crunch burger

A food blogger has recreated a popular KFC burger at home, saving himself 155 calories compared to heading in store.

The social media user known as @nectoriouspapi recreated KFC’s Zinger Crunch burger, which features Doritos, at home.

The KFC version has 594 calories compared to his 439 calories, adding he loves the crunch the chips give to the burger.

He cooked two Coles sweet chilli tenders before layering up his Aldi Brioche buns, and mixing the sauce using 15 grams of light Praise mayonnaise and five grams of jalapeno sauce.

He layered the bottom bun with half of the sauce before adding coleslaw, the chicken, cheese and the three Doritos chips.

The remaining sauce is then layered onto the top bun to recreate the burger.

Social media users were in awe, with many eager to try and make the fakeaway at home for themselves.

One social media user said: “Man I love good KFC fakeaway.”

Another said: “Aldi brioche elevates every time.”

One added: “Get in my face!”

“Now to not to eat the rest of Doritos. Looks delicious will give it a try. Thanks for sharing,” another said.

One final commenter said: “It’s the Doritos for me.”

Many love fakeaway options as it can save them money or allow them to recreate their favourite fast food options without as many calories.
