Emergency services are on the scene after a toddler tragically died from a fire in Mowbray, Tasmania.
Authorities were called to the fire, which occurred on Verdun Street at approximately 1.30pm.
The shed had caught ablaze by the time police and Tasmania Fire Service crews arrived.
The Mercury reported a toddler was found deceased, with another young child taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An adult has also been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
TFS will conduct an urgent investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with everyone affected,” a police spokesperson said.
