Incredible scenes as hundreds of Aussies flock to Bronte for Christmas

Hundreds of Aussies have flocked to a popular NSW beach to cool off on Christmas Day.

The temperature in Bronte beach reached a perfect top of 26 degrees, which saw massive crowds set up camp for the day by the ocean.

Incredible scenes shared on social media have shown just how packed the beach is, with very little gaps between groups on the grass and the sand.

Groups are seen with picnic style set ups on the grass, while others opt for tanning on the sand.

At a similar event in the middle of the pandemic, the federal immigration minister threatened to cancel visas of any visitors caught breaking Covid-19 rules at Christmas celebrations in 2020.

In December 2020, Sydney’s Northern Beaches region reportedly tightened rules over the holiday period, and only 100 people were allowed at an outdoor even on Christmas Day.

However, at the time, witnesses to a Christmas beach party at Bronte spoke of the mass crowds who were drinking, most of which without a face mask.

With the Sydney weather expected to stay sunny over the next few days, people are expected to continue heading to the beach on the coming public holidays.

Monday December 26 can expect to see another clear day with a top of 27, with similar conditions on Tuesday with a top of 26.

Sadly, it looks likely there will be showers over the next weekend heading into the new year.
